We are here to help you become and stay well. That starts with prevention. Every membership includes a comprehensive annual exam with labs where you and Dr. Wadas develop a personalized health plan specific to you and your needs.
Dr. Wadas can help you manage PCOS, high blood pressure, IBS, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, anxiety, depression, elevated cholesterol, thyroid issues and many other medical conditions. Hormone therapy is also available.
Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and weight is NOT a behavior! Dr. Wadas recognizes this and practices in a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) model. This means the focus is on your health, not your weight.
Please note all patients are welcome at Foothills Direct Primary Care whether or not they have insurance. We do not bill insurance or take insurance at all from our office. Regardless of insurance status patients pay the same monthly membership price of $125 per month. Membership includes unlimited medical visits (in-person or telehealth). It also includes all medically necessary labs up to $100 in cost per year - which covers most lab needs. If additional labs are needed, pre-negotiated, discounted lab rates are passed on to members and an exact price will be given prior to labs being done (no surprise bills!). Membership also includes direct access to Dr. Wadas via email and text message. Every visit, including the first visit, gives you the time you need to discuss with Dr. Wadas your healthcare needs and your life and health goals! All memberships require an enrollment fee of $100 which results in first visit being $225, then $125 per month thereafter.
Dr. Wadas attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix where she earned her MD. She went on to complete residency in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. While at Dartmouth, she was selected as a chief resident teaching and training rising residents in a 4th year with the program. After leaving chilly New England to return to her desert home, she worked at the Phoenix VA practicing primary care and serving as the University of Arizona Internal Medicine Residency VA Clinic Director. She decided to open Foothills Direct Primary Care in 2021 to practice medicine in a new way that removes the barriers between patient and physician, restoring the physician-patient partnership for health.
As her background above and current role as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix would suggest, Dr. Wadas loves teaching. And she believes that teaching is a two-way street. She shares her medical knowledge gained from her training and experience, and the patients share their knowledge of themselves, their own lived experience and their health goals. She cares DEEPLY about her patients and believes in compassionate, respectful, LGBTQI+ affirming, weight inclusive, Health At Every Size® (HAES®) evidence-based care.
